Leonard Berman Guitar

Inspired by the Beatles at age 11, I purchased my first guitar from a drugstore while on a family vacation in Hawaii. Although I began playing trumpet in elementary school, the guitar turned out to be my lifelong passion.

I started with inspiration from many: The Beatles, Stones, Vanilla Fudge, Santana, Hendrix, and Clapton. In my early high school days I was exposed to Charles White and the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band. From then on, R&B, Soul and Funk music became my primary interests.

Covid 19 has put quite the damper on live music the past couple years; I really miss the gigs and getting together with other musicians. Opportunities have been very limited. I hope all are staying safe and healthy and I look forward to the end of the lockdown restrictions so we can keep on Jamming!
